And get some confidence, stupid! Actually, I’m done smoking (oopsie on this one), and Troy McClure only exists on Simpsons reruns. I’m a single woman, late 30s, 40 years old, trying to lose 50 pounds and keep it off. So far I’m down 20 25 35 40 45 pounds, and it’s a slow road, filled with exercise but not too much food restriction. I’ve always been a fruit and veggie fan, and was vegetarian for a long time (but not now). I don’t diet, don’t try not to obsess, don’t try not to beat myself up if I eat something fattening occasionally. It’s okay, really. I’ve studied nutrition and biochemistry, but mostly what I’ve learned is from trial and error. And I do mean error!
Hey Julie!! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Good luck with everything- and seriously, people who think anyone can/should survive on 1200 calories a day are crazy! I look forward to reading more of your blog!
Thank you for stopping by Almost Fit – it’s definitely what brought me here to your site. I think in the “keeping it real” category you are off the charts
. I love the tone of your writing – it has a definite personal feel, especially the rants
. Good luck with the last few pounds – sounds like you’re approaching it from a realistic perspective which is what I’m trying to do as well.
Best,
Metroknow
